From bodycam footage of Columbus police shooting of Ma Khia Bryant
The grifting machine is on full tilt over the justified shooting of 16-year old Ma’Khia Bryant. From every video feed that has been released, it appears that Officer Nicholas Reardon was in the right in his heroic actions to save a girl in pink from being stabbed by Bryant.
In an interview with “Face the Nation,” Demings reflected on her time as a patrol officer and said those working in the community have to make split-second decisions.
“Everybody has the benefit of slowing the video down and seizing the perfect moment. The officer on the street does not have that ability. A FLORIDA Democrat said the cop responded as he was trained to do in the shooting death of 16-year-old Ma Khia Bryant.
Rep Val Demings, a former police chief in Orlando, said Nicholas Reardon seemed to act with the main thought of preventing a tragedy and a loss of life of the person who was about to be assaulted on Sunday.

Speaking on CBS’ Face the Nation, Demings said that officers at the scene don’t see the whole thing play out in slow motion and that they need to make split-second decisions and they’re tough.

USE-of-force expert Seth Stoughton said that the cop who fatally shot Ma’Khia Bryant had no other option but to use deadly force against the teen.
“With the caveat that I only know what is shown on the video, I don’t see any clear options or alternatives that were available to the officer,” Seth Stoughton told the Columbus Dispatch.
Police officer Nicholas Reardon was criticized for not using different methods to disarm the teen and de-escalate the situation instead of using a firearm.
However, Stoughton thinks that events of the incident happened too quickly for Reardon to take any other action.
