Lou Alvarez won his first term as a New Ipswich Select Board member, winning by less than 50 votes over John Severino.Alvarez garnered 361 votes to Severino’s 312, as both men battled it out for the seat left empty by outgoing Select Board member Bert.
New Ipswich voters heard from candidates for open town offices as well as the town’s School Board seat at Candidates’ Night on Tuesday.Select Board candidates Louis Alvarez and John Severino were asked about their stances on mask mandates and tax.
