The Maryland Lottery awarded the first $40,000 prize in the $2 million VaxCash promotion to Towson resident Deidre Poore Eagan. Poore Eagan and her husband visited Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore on Tuesday to claim her prize. She was the winner in the May 27 drawing and was at work last week when she received a call from the Maryland Department of Health informing her of the win.
Individuals from Baltimore and Carroll counties were among four people who came forward to accept the $40,000 lottery prize given randomly to residents who have received a coronavirus vaccine in Maryland, the Maryland Lottery announced Tuesday.
