Surat: The crime branch of Surat city police on Wednesday arrested a murder accused who had jumped bail one and a half years ago after being lodged in.
An AMTS bus driver is accused of driving buses from Lal Darwaja and Krishnanagar depots on two separate days recently, under the influence of alcohol. In a separate incident, a police officer was found in a car stationed on Anandnagar road in an inebriated state.

A scam in the post-SSC scholarship for the students of scheduled caste came to light, when a student found out that a freeship card had already been issued in his name by a dummy student. The scammer had even received the college fees of three years on the victim’s name.
