the job market, things are getting better, but just not at a pace that would be consistent with a very vigorous recovery. would you call this a jobless recovery at this point? i think it s too soon to tell. i think just like we missed it on the way down, we lost more jobs than you might think given the gdp losses, i think economists are a little shy about making too many forecasts on the way back up. it s probably not jobless, but not nearly as vigorous as a typical recovery. glenn, i want to go back to the tax cuts and they re named, obviously, the bush tax cuts, the tax cuts in 2001 and 2003. looking back and looking at this deficit situation, do you at any point do you look back and say, boy, we should have figured out how to pay for those tax cuts at the time or at least not go as far into debt as these tax cuts pushed out, given the current economic situation. well, i think there s no question that the tax cuts had a
