Plenty to cover as we start the weekend. Lets begin with our first alert neighborhood forecast. Meteorologist krystal klei is tracking some changes to our weather. Krystal, fill us in. Yeah, this is going to be kind of an interesting forecast for us this weekend, because its not a washout, but theres the potential of some showers, rather, or storms. Weve also got warm conditions that are getting hotter and its going to be humid. So its kind of a mix of a little of everything that you might not want for your fathers day weekend. Right now, were already quite warm. Its 69 degrees right now in philadelphia. Same deal for northeast philly. Were at 71 degrees in wilmington. Pottstown, youre at 66 degrees. And were at 69 in Atlantic City. Take a look at the ocean water. 68 degrees right now, reporting just outside of Atlantic City. So weve got these temperatures right now, starting on the warm side of things. And what were going to see as we go through the day is weve got mid to upper 80s in
Sign. Temperatures are fairly warm to start our day. Were at 69 degrees right now in philadelphia. Were at 70 in wilmington and 72 in dover. Coatesville, youre at 68. And 69 in Atlantic City. I just checked the water temperature right off of Atlantic City and actually its 68 degrees as well. Water temperature picking up a little bit from a few weeks ago, starting to look a little bit better out there. Overall, the shorecast not perfect this weekend, because we have the possibility of this happening. Some spotty showers and isolated to scattered thunderstorms today and your fathers day, as well. A little better chance for us today. You can see some of this green popping on the board. This is going to continue spreading from the southwest to the northeast. Not going to be a ton of action. This is not a washout forecast, but we will have that possibility today. So lets look through your morning hours. 69 right now. Only about 70 at 8 00 a. M. Funding level . Problematic changes mr. Pai we have not made any decisions on that score. Were trying to make sure the program works. Mr. Markey you wont make a commitment you wont reduce the funding . Mr. Pai were studying ways to improve mr. Markey ms. Rosenworcel, will you do that . Ms. Rosenworcel it is a successful one and i believe the changes put in place in 2015 have been successful. They have reached schools and students in every state across this country. Mr. Markey mr. Carr, will you commit you wont reduce the funding . Mr. Carr i have an open mind as to what the budget and number should be. Have to make a decision when the record is developed on it. Mr. Markey i havent heard clear commitments and i think thats very troubling to be honest with you. Because this is the democratizing force within our society as each of you made clear you believe that its key for our future. Reducing the fund something not going to help to make sure that every child in our country has access to
