The Nigerian Defence Headquarters (DHQ) on Monday said operations are ongoing to get the terrorists who perpetrated the attack on the convoy of the Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni. SaharaReporters had on Sunday reported how Boko Haram insurgents attacked the convoy of Yobe State Governor along Maiduguri-Dramaturg Road, killing two policemen and injuring two others. The attack took place on Saturday after the governor attended the 24th convocation of the University of Maiduguri, Borno State.
The union leaders and their members picketed the Nnamidi Azikiwe International Airport, disrupting the operations of the facility and leaving many passengers stranded.
The military high command said it has uncovered a plan by some persons to wear military uniforms to disrupt elections in some areas where elections would be held.
