A criminal complaint has been filed against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP colleague Atishi, accusing them of defaming the BJP and its members. The complaint, filed by the media head of BJP s Delhi unit, alleges that Kejriwal and Atishi made false statements accusing the BJP of trying to buy and poach AAP MLAs to topple the state government. The complaint alleges that these statements were made with a malicious intention to lower the reputation of the BJP and its workers. The matter has been posted for recording pre-summoning evidence on May 4.
The defamation case was filed by Gujarat University in relation to the statements by the two AAP leaders about Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi's academic degrees.
