PARK CITY A 53-year-old man was killed and two other drivers suffered minor injuries after a crash on a road near Deer Valley Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Emergency crews responded to a report of a crash on state Route 224 (Marsac Avenue) shortly before 7:30 a.m. near the resort, according to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Randall Richey.
Richey said the 53-year-old man was driving a gray Mazda sedan coming down a steep hill when his vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane and sideswiped a Nissan pickup truck before it was struck by a second pickup truck. That impact was fairly minor, but it caused the Mazda to spin sideways and it was hit on the passenger side door by a Toyota Tacoma that was going up the hill kind of in a T-bone fashion, Richey said.
