The Lagos State and Ogun State governments have rebuffed pressures from churches to relax restrictions introduced to curb the spread of COVID-19 infections so they could hold crossover vigils today to usher in the New Year.
The two states, with a high concentration of headquarters of churches in the country, insisted that the 12am-4am curfew introduced by the federal government, as part of measures to combat COVID-19 remains in place. They warned that dire consequences await individuals and groups that violate the regulations.
Deeper Life High School: Victim’s medical report silent on sexual abuse
The boy, who was discharged on Tuesday, was examined and treated at St. Athanasius Hospital, a private medical facility in Uyo.
A medical report on the victim of the alleged sexual abuse at Deeper Life High School, Uyo, has not stated if the 11-year-old boy has been sexually molested or not.
The boy, a JSS1 student of the school, was discharged from hospital on Tuesday after spending ten days.
The victim’s father, Iniobong Archibong, who got the medical report from the hospital on Monday,
A source, who has seen the medical report, told PREMIUM TIMES, Wednesday, the report did not mention whether the boy was sexually abused or not.

The medical report of the 11-year-old student said to have been sexually abused in the dormitory by fellow students of Deeper Life High School in Akwa Ibom State, is out, PremiumTimes is reporting.
The victim’s father, Iniobong Archibong, disclosed this on Monday saying, “I just got a (medical) report today from the hospital but won’t disclose the content of the report after consultation with my lawyer. He has not yet been discharged. As soon as he is discharged, we will let the public know,” he added.
The JSS1 student is spending his ninth day in an undisclosed hospital in Uyo. He was taken to the hospital on December 19 by his parents, after the mum, Deborah Okezie, took to Facebook to cry out over the alleged sexual abuse.

Solomon Ndidi, the Principal of Deeper Life High School, Akwa Ibom State, has been suspended by the school management over the alleged molestation of one of the pupils.
Deeper Life High School is owned by the popular Pentecostal church, The Deeper Christian Life Ministry. The school has its headquarters in Lagos, South-west Nigeria.
Deborah Okezie, the parent of a junior secondary school one student allegedly molested, had in a Facebook video made a series of claims.
According to the woman, her son was starved, as well as molested by some senior students of the school.
She said that her son told her that Mr. Ndidi moved him to the senior pupils’ hostel for urinating on his bed.
