Since last year when the Pune Metro service flagged off, it would have an average ridership of 4,000 daily when it operated trains from the Pimpri to Phugewadi stretch and from Vanaz to Garware College.
For starters, on both sides of the stretch from Nigdi to Dapodi, the footpath is visible only in parts. In Kasarwadi, it's completely missing. And in other parts, like the Chinchwad area, encroachments leave no room for people.
