Deep fat fryers: on your mark, get set, sizzle!
Running through May 2nd, this year’s fair offerings make the glazed donut hamburger look so 2019. Instead, vendors have been perfecting such culinary colon seizers as The Flaming Hot Cheetos Funnel Cake, which combines the funnel cake mix with jalapeños, crushed spicy Cheetos, then deep fried and smothered with nacho cheese and yet more Cheetos.

And if that’s not exotic enough for your adventurous palate as you trudge around the humid fairgrounds dripping with perspiration and two whining kids in tow, perhaps a basket of peanut butter and spicy jelly tater tots are more to your liking. Oh, yes, there’s melted cheese involved with that as well. Where else can your mouth savor such a cornucopia of sweet and salty grease?
