We have just learned from police that seven people were killed in the shooting seven others were wounded by the gunfire and were taken to hospitals. Police say the shooting was apparently premeditated. Eye witnesses say the shots were fired from a car driving through the area. Pretty much there was a bmw rolling by. Guest he was best known for two things, son of a famous revolutionary war hero and that was the famed cavalry commander light horse harry lee, the one who served under washington and in fact, coined washington, first in war, first in peace, that was light horse harry. The other thing that people would have known robert e lee for would have been his service in the mexican war and especially on the staff of general scott during scotts fabulous invasion. Moving in land to mexico city in 1847. Lee served in many respects as scotts eyes and ears performing over and over again feats for scott so much so that scott made the confession that for all the honors he had won in that Great Campaign to mexico city almost all the credit really belonged to robert e lee, so lees two thing would have been robert e lee would have been noted before the civil war whic

When i think about what weve been through over the years, whether its earthquakes, a global pandemic, i put the challenges of what we experienced during those times as we went through changes and challenges to what was happening in our city and how despite those issues, we persevered. And i want to also be clear that there is a lot of reddick out there about criminal Justice Reform, and how were going to be setback. But let me tell you, that is not going to happen. [applause] i talked to so many people all over the city. I talked to folks who have never been politically engaged. I talked to people who cared deeply about what theyve seen happen in San Francisco. And you know what i appreciate so much about the spirit of the people who are part of this amazing city . Is time and time again, despite even being victims of crime and experienci
