KTVU KTVU Mornings On 2 At 5am September 28, 2016

We had to leave the boat behind, he is a little bummed out right now. It has been a difficult and intense fire to fight in part because it is burning in steep terrain and all the vegetation is very drive from the drought it is serving as fuel for the fire. Calfire has been using 11 Fire Fighters helicopters. There is nearly 900 fire personnel. The crews will be meeting for a briefing at 7 am. We will hopefully well have more information about what direction the fire is burning and if it has grown overnight. Thanks janine dela vega. Four homes were destroyed. Eight more damaged when a spark on the edge of highway 101 in petaluma spread into brush and ignited a row of eucalyptus trees. Two people were injured. Calfire dropped water from a helicopter on the dry trees to help stop the flames from spreading even further. Coming up at 5 30 we will go live to petaluma to find out how the neighborhood is doing.
