who s going to show up after thanksgiving for this december 6th runoff. warnock s campaign is fairly optimistic that things are tilting their way. okay. the most recent poll i saw from aarp, and warnock is leading among independents by 15 points. those between ages of 18 and 49, by 24 points. walker on the other hand is leading among those over 50 by 9 points. so what are we going to see between now and that voting that s going to maybe make the difference? on one hand, the fact older voters are backing herschel walker is a cause for concern for democrats because those older voters vote disproportionately in these election s. a two-step, appealing to core base supporters that helped support barack obama and other big-named democrats and after split-dict voters.
that i ve just mentioned. good point. eva, you spent a lot of time out there on the campaign trial in recent weeks and months. do you share the concerns of these republicans we just heard from? well, i didn t hear georgia republicans share this concern publicly. but clearly, it is a concern. you know, in this highly competitive senate contest between herschel walker and senator warnock that is in overtime now, still going on. we have the december 6th runoff, but you didn t see the former president come down to campaign for walker. so to the extent the former president continues to sort of inject himself i think into the conversation, into some of these races, it actually serves as a boost for democrats. we see that senator warnock and the democratic apparatus is able to sort of fund raise and boost energy among dratds by tieing the former president to walker. but in terms of republicans expressing concerns about this publicly, about the former
