this race out there on the internet and among some sort of right wing activists circles. that guarantees that is going to continue. there s one other point that seemed kind of interesting. the complaint, moore says he took a polygraph test days after the december 12th election to prove he s innocent against those allegations of sexual misconduct that were made by three women against roy moore. in fact, here s what he said. quote, as i had expected results of the examination reflected i did not know, nor had i ever had any sexual contact with any of these individuals. we don t know very much about the polygraph but is this actually relevant at all in this possible challenge? it is not at all relevant. and, in fact, it raises the question of why he didn t take that polygraph test before the election. yes, that s a good point. let me ask you quickly, moore gives very few details on the purported irregularities as karen bhaengsing there.
nothing can surprise you. there is he s alleging systemic voter fraud but he seems to be basing that on unusual patterns of turnout. well, given the amount of attention that this race received, the amount of national interest, it is not at all surprising that there would have been unusual patterns of turnout for a special election. and certainly the republican secretary of state has already made it clear that he does not see this as any sort of evidence of voter fraud. we know the secretary of state says this is going to be certified. do you have a sense of how this gets adjudicated over the next couple of hours before 1:00? there may be continued court actions, efforts to stall this. but, again, you ve got to have a basis for that and does not appear he does. however, all that said, there s been a lot of kind of conspiracies about results of
michael issakof, questioning staffers about their digital operation to target voters in key swing states. he says prosecutors are looking into whether there s link to the work of russian trolls and bots that tried to influence last year s election. he points out the son-in-law, jared kushner, managed the trump campaign s digital operation. after winning the election, kushner told forbes magazine, quote, i called somebody who works for one of the technology companies that i work with and i had them give me a true toutori how to use facebook micro targeting. by running the trump campaign, notably, it s secret data operation. so how is this looking for kushner with this new reporting and his own words to forbes magazine? look, you know, i think jared kushner is the person closest to the president, a family member of course his son-in-law who has been most implicated at this
point or at least who is most under investigation. i mean, nothing has been proven at this point. his family company is saying that these investigations by the brooklyn prosecutor is simply in response to damaging media reports and there s again saying there s nothing to it, they re complying with everything. i think we need to let the investigation run its course to see where it goes. it does look strange that the same senior adviser to the president, his son-in-law who met with a russian bank official, right before the election, was also meeting with deutsche banc and, you know, i think we have to wonder about what was going on here. as you say with the targeting of russians and the bots and the trolls. i think isikof s reporting for yahoo! was interesting and we ll all have to pick up the threads and continue the reporting. it suggests the mueller investigation continues to move in all different directions simultaneous. great to have you with us.
. all right, a number of republican versus come forward to defend romney, including utah senators hatch. he released a statement calling his attack quote disappointing and unjustified and lee tweeted, quo, whether you agree or disagree with him on any matter of public policy, you can t credibly call into question his patriotism or moral character. meanwhile, in a series of tweets, criticize roy moore, he called it a bad decision and sas says they are continued to support roy moore. good to see you this morning, roy moore and duck jones really trading barbs on the campaign trail up to the december 12th
