Big crowds came out on a perfect spring day for the city of Decatur’s always-popular Touch-A-Truck and Touch-A-Budget event at the East Lake MARTA station on Saturday, March 25. In addition to seeing a wide variety of vehicles, visitors got a close-up look at the city’s budgeting process.
Chabad Intown held its annual Lighting of the Decatur Menorah Ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 22, the fifth night of Chanukah, with Chanukah songs, a fire show, doughnuts, hot latkes, a hot cocoa bar and a gelt drop.
The city of Decatur hosted its first Neighborhood Adult Field Day on Saturday, May 14 at Legacy Park. Activities included horseshoes, cornhole, giant Jenga, giant Connect 4 and a kickball tournament that was won by the Decatur Fire Rescue team. Proceeds will go toward future Active Living adult programs and activities.
