Decatur Mayor Patti Garrett and local leaders, including DeKalb Commissioner Ted Terry, celebrated the federal investments made in Georgia during a press conference on April 11 at the Decatur Recreation Center.
The Decatur City Commission, at its Sept. 26 meeting, adopted the clean energy plan, which sets goals for the city to transition away from fossil fuels and toward a resilient, renewable future.
The Decatur City Commission will meet on Monday, Sept. 26, for a work session beginning at 4:45 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. The regular meeting will be held in person at Decatur City Hall, 509 N. McDonough Street, as well as Zoom.
The city of Decatur has been developing a clean energy plan, and Energy and Sustainability Manager David Nifong provided an overview of the plan during a city commission work session on Monday, Aug. 15.
