Identified at 31yearold eric blaugh. He was driving westbound about 6 30. He and some other cars got into an accident, his car was not working anymore. He got out of his car was hit and killed. The pileup began lasting for hours. Emergency crews rushed to the scene where dozens of cars were twisted and turned in every direction. As the sun came up, the enormity of the pileup became clear. It was just a big load of cars a lot of mayhem and chaos going on. Reporter colleen graves tells Eyewitness News she was stuck about a mile behind the pileup for several hours. I saw a lot of people just not paying attention, driving away too quick. Reporter state Police Officials say one person died about 30 suffered injuries. Some were treater on the scene. Others taken to local hospitals for observation. 10 minutes later it was a bunch of calls piled up everywhere so i had to take the back way. Yesterday that really, really was a problem. Thankfully though all the rain is out of here. Even though youre above technically above freezing with air temperature allentown trenton, wildwood, theres a lot of puddles left behind with rain amounts we showed you and ground is nice and cold and in a lot of cases colder than the air s it wo will have had a chance to freeze over. Be careful. What you see here is not what you get. Theres hidden hazards that come along with morning like this when temperatures are what they are.
