It was produced by East Lansing producer Glenn Brown. We re super excited, Brown said. We knew we had a chance at it. A lot of people like Billy. He seems to be going over pretty well across the country, so we thought there was a shot at it, and sure enough, it worked out.
Much of the album was recorded live in Nashville studios, Brown said, a testament to the musicians who are so good they could play their solos first takes. How many bands do you think actually perform live on their albums? he said. It s extremely rare.
