UK Innovate hosted more than 150 participants and 11 industry partners for a full day of five keynote addresses, two federal program overviews, three presentation tracks with 15-minute TED Talk-style presentations and a special guest.
Three representatives from the state auditor’s office were available- two in person and one via ZOOM- at the meeting of the Marshall School Board on Tuesday, February 23.
According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, Deborah Whitis and MacKenzie Wooster were present and Kayla Gipson participated via the web to discuss the audit of the district being conducted by the auditor’s office.
A petition with 902 signatures- 152 more than was necessary- was presented to the auditor’s office requesting the audit.
They said a performance audit will cost the district from $65,000 to $85,000.
Field work will be done by the end of April, and it will take a couple of months for the final report.
