May 6 Authorities in Oregon and Idaho say they will search on Saturday and Sunday for a Star woman reported missing in January.
Deborah Hendrichs, 56, was reported missing in Ada County in January. Her car was found abandoned along Interstate 84 in eastern Oregon after she was reported missing, according to a news release from the Umatilla County, Oregon, Sheriff s Office.
The operation will begin about 8 a.m. Saturday near Meacham, a hamlet in Oregon s Blue Mountains, and will include multiple agencies and dozens of search personnel. The search will focus on land near where her car was found, including nearby wooded areas, roads, bridges and bodies of water.
MEACHAM â Umatilla County Search and Rescue and Oregon State Police are coordinating a multi-agency search Saturday and Sunday, May 8-9, near Meacham for Deborah Hendrichs, the 56-year-old woman from Star, Idaho, who went missing in the area on Jan. 11.
The search will concentrate on areas surrounding the eastbound side of Interstate 84 near milepost 238, where her abandoned vehicle was found after she was reported missing, according to a press release from the Umatilla County Sheriffâs Office. Search areas include portions along I-84, Hancock Road, the railroad and bridge and area creeks, bodies of water and wooded land. The objective of this search is to locate any remains of Hendrichs or any items she may have had with her at the time of her disappearance.

The Umatilla County Sheriff s Office Search and Rescue team will lead the search, assisted by the Oregon State Police starting Saturday morning. The search will continue through Sunday. According to a report by the YakTriNews, 90 people will be involved in the search assisted by 10 K9 units, four drones and 35 ground personnel.
