Professor John Dewar elected next Chair of universities Australia
La Trobe University Vice-Chancellor and President Professor John Dewar AO has been elected the next Chair of Universities Australia.
Professor Dewar – currently a Deputy Chair of Universities Australia – will succeed The University of Queensland Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry AO in the role from 25 May 2021.
Professor Terry welcomed the election of Professor Dewar as the incoming Chair of the sector’s peak body.

meanwhile president trump tweeting that he will not attend the dinner in april. to sing in a statement at the dinner will go on as planned adding that the w hca takes notes of the announcement on twitter. he does not attend the dinner, which has been and continues to be a celebration of the first amendment and the important role played by an independent news media in a healthy republic. white house debbie terry defended her boss. we all have spent enough time around each other as it was part of this is not a president who was elected to spend his time with reporters and celebrities. this is a president who campaigned on speaking directly to americans. i think that just kind of naive of us to think that we can all walk into a room for a couple of hours and pretend that some of that tension is not there. you know, one of the things that we see in the south, if a girl scout aid to your house, would you buy cookies from her? but we don t lie to the american people we have don t hide things from the american people we feel don t watch americans die and do nothing about it and then lie about it after the fact. we don t mislead congress. mr. speaker, it s a most critical time, for the administration to fully come clean on everything, be up front on everything. because all that will serve to do is to erode the trust of the american people further day by day, not only in the administration, not only in the administration, but in the halls of all government institutions and we are right to be cynical of our government. we have a right to, and we have a right to be cynical. it s not a bad thing. we have the right to question. and we should question. that s how answers come, but we shouldn t have to question the trust. questioning motive, questioning policies, but wondering why the government is collecting information to give to the i.r.s. why did the i.r.s. need that information? was it to get more taxe
