Good afternoon come everyone and welcome. It is so great to have joe biden back. We know that joe loves coming to michigan. He has been here so many times. We know he loves the state and has fought for us so many different occasions. I remember the auto crisis when our industry was in a tough spot. And i just say thank god that joe biden stood up for the Auto Industry. Im so happy to be here with governor witmer as well and with all of the work she has been doing to keep folks here in michigan safe. Governor witmer believes in science. Believes in facts. And because of that, our state is in a much better position than we would be otherwise. It is also great to be here with my colleague, debbie kavanaugh. We share a passion for health care. To make sure everyone has access to quality care. We are the 12 punch that comes to representing michigan in the senate. But we are here today to talk about health care. WILMINGTON Mildred “Micki” Shinault Quesada, 80, died peacefully Friday, July 2, 2021, at The Robin Johnson House.
She was born Jan. 14, 1941, in Ivanhoe, Virginia. Micki was the first in her immediate family to continue her education, graduating from Cape Fear Technical Institute in Wilmington with a degree in business administration. Many will remember her from the 30-plus years she worked third shift at Jimbo’s Breakfast & Lunch House in Wilmington. She never met a stranger and formed many friendships over the years.
Micki was a devoted mother, wife and friend. She lived her life with strength, humor and courage. Micki loved her family, her furkids, cross-stich and reading. She could be found sitting in her favorite chair, surrounded by her poodles, working on projects. such as a baby blankets for grandchildren or friends. She poured all her love into her needlework, and it was exceptional.
