He was born on Feb. 26, 1949, in Lima, Peru and moved to the United States when he was 20 years old. Fons retired from the U.S. Army where he served as a CW3 and worked as an imagery analyst. He was a member of several car clubs including the BMW Club and the Cobra Club. Fons loved photography and was an avid woodworker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Ana Fonseca and his brother, Raul Fonseca.
Survivors include his loving wife, Debbie Fonseca, of Ooltewah, TN, and his daughter and son-in-law, Alison and Brendan Mahoney, of Manhattan, NY.
