York Daily Record COVID-19 may still be causing limitations on gatherings and events, but Give Local York is returning May 7 for its fourth year. Last year, despite being in the midst of a pandemic and unemployment numbers at Great Depression-era levels, the local community raised $3.5 million for more than 300 local nonprofits. Over 11,000 people donated during the 24-hour event, which is York County’s biggest day of giving. And while the economy may be in a better place than it was this time last year, there is still a big need for keeping area nonprofits operational. “Last year, we were able to address some of the immediate needs.
