Wayzata School Board member Andrea Cuene has received All-State School Board award honors for her work to improve the school district and advocate for students.
Kirk Schneidawind, executive director for the Minnesota School Boards Association, presented the award Dec. 14. Cuene is one of five recipients this year.
âThis award is given to those public school board members who walk the talk â they know good governance, they know how to advocate for students, they know how to work with others as a team, they set the bar on ethics â all of these are attributes from MSBAâs five standards for board members,â said Schneidawind.

WORTHINGTON ― Longtime school board member Linden Olson received a state honor at the regular school board meeting Tuesday night, as the Minnesota School Board Association (MSBA) appointed him to the 2021 All State School Board.
MSBA Executive Director Kirk Schneidawind, MSBA President Deb Pauly and District 3 Director Jeanna Lilleburg were all present at the meeting via Zoom to present Olson with the award.
