BBC Arts has announced a raft of films for its flagship strand Arena on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer this spring, including films about iconic figures ranging from Little Richard and Karl Lagerfeld to Kae Tempest and Coco Chanel, alongside the Oscar-nominated acquisition All The Beauty and The Bloodshed.
In September of 1981, Garnet Bailey was told by Aurora police her eldest child, 20-year-old Cheryl Lynn Hall, newly married and hoping to make her a grandmother soon, had been strangled to death in her East Side apartment. Bailey sat next to surviving daughter Lisa Martinez in the Oswego home they share to watch A&E’s recent “Cold Case Files” on the tragic murder case.
