Updated: 5:55 PM EDT Jul 28, 2021 WLWT Digital Staff WLWT Digital Staff The body of a missing southeast Indiana man who disappeared during snowy conditions in February was located on Tuesday, according to the Dearborn County Sheriff s Office.On Tuesday at around 5 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 28460 Trackville Road in St. Leon after a construction crew found a human skull on a property.When deputies arrived at the scene, they confirmed the skull was a human skull. A little while later, the rest of the body s remains were located in a tree.The Dearborn County Coroner’s Office and a crime scene technician from the Indiana State Police responded to the scene. The body was taken to the morgue in Hamilton County, Ohio.On Wednesday, an autopsy was performed on the body. (Ohio County, Ind.) - An investigation is underway after an Ohio County man was found dead in a private pond.
The body of Weston Ellis, 39, of Bennington, was located at a property on Bells Branch Road early Sunday morning.
The initial investigation revealed that Ellis went under the water Saturday evening and never resurfaced. His body was found in approximately 10 feet of water.
The incident remains under investigation and an exact cause of death is pending autopsy results.
Conservation Officers were assisted in scene by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department, Switzerland County Sheriff’s Department, Dillsboro Police Department, Ohio County EMS, Rising Sun Fire Department, Bear Branch Fire Department, and Indiana State Police.
