Souderton holds off CB East with 4th-quarter drive, improves to 3-0

FRANCONIA – Danny Dyches was certain about what needed to happen as the Souderton football team faced a 3rd-and-8 from the Central Bucks East 43-yard line trailing by a point in the fourth quarter. “I didn’t really get any yards the last play, but the next play I knew I had to bounce back,” the Indians senior wide receiver said. “And I knew I had to get the first down.” Hauling in a screen pass from quarterback Ben Walsh, Dyches darted inside around a pair of blockers then cut left to it down the sideline for a 21-yard gain while a late hit putting the ball on the Patriots’ 11. The Indians collected just seven more yards, requiring Rylan Zuk to connect on his third field of the second half.
