i ll take the second question first, but the turkey thing we don t know what role president biden. they wanted the guarantees in writing about the kurds from finland and switzerland on that. president biden given erdogan that yesterday may have something to do with it. the agreement to buy f-16s, upgrade its military. those things could be factors, but we have not heard confirmation. the white house has shied away from taking credit from this. as far as the kremlin, we re seeing rumblings from vladimir putin about the nato expansion, basically saying if nato puts more battle grooups along the finland-russia border, 800 miles long, extends nato s border with russia, putin said if nato is aggressive, in his view, and puts more troops closer to russia, he will respond in kind. we don t know if that s saber rattling or serious that is. hard not to take him serious at

russian opposition and i think a real good example of that was this deal biden was able too sort of help broker behind the scenes between turkey, finland and sweden. that was one of the clearest examples out there that not everyone is one big happy family when you had turkey trying to block sweden and finland from trying to join nato. and the white house scrambling behind the scenes to try to get that off the table and resolve that for this meeting and that remains one of the big overhangs of fractures here, so as you noted, they come out strong, together, and united, and at least for now, to get through the conflict for another few months and see where we re at. the president will return to washington later today, facing a lot of domestic questions, and trump most notably, and the supreme court decision, on roe v. wade. but they re trying to have a central message here, while in europe, about democracy s working, and democracy s rallying together, democracies
walk us through a time line of how this will play out. i think now, he has to respond to the subpoena. i think his lawyers, he himself is a lawyer, and of course, they will take a look at the subpoena and the scope of this. pat cipollone has been negotiated with the select committee for several weeks now about whether he can provide any sort of on the record testimony. he of course went and sat before the committee for more like an informal, it was like a session, to kind of scope out what he could, or what he might not be able to talk about. by now obviously the committee is compelling his testimony. i think one of the issues he has to resolve now is this issue of executive privilege. what can he and what he cannot talk about to the select committee, the congressional investigation, the justice department, has very clear guidelines about what aides close to the president can and cannot do. i think one very interesting point though is one of his associates, at egc, is fred feeling wh
