A mouse dropped dead on a table in the food court at IKEA Nagasandra in Bengaluru last weekend, while customers were eating. Sharanya Shetty shared her disbelief and concern on Twitter, while the Swedish firm said it was investigating the unpleasant incident and that cleanliness and customer safety were a priority. IKEA is as renowned in India for its meatballs and cake as for its furniture. Approximately 30% of its Indian footfall is attributed to people seeking food. The retailer made over $2bn in food sales globally in 2017.
