this is for his own good. it is sensible advice. this was likely a warning shot. i think the million dollar question here is whether or not stone is going to be able to comply with a gag order if there is one. before going into court today, he took to instagram to say this was the deep state trying to silence him. i think the most interesting thing about that appearance wasn t anything that stone did or said or anything the judge did or said. it was the prosecutor. that s that the individual who stood up and spoke on behalf of the government was the prosecutor from the d.c. u.s. attorney s office. i think that s an indication the d.c. office, which is co-prosecuting this with the special counsel s office is likely going to lead this. that s another sort of piece of evidence in the bucket that robert mueller expects for his investigation to be winding down sometime before the stone before the stone prosecution ends. phil mudd, the president told the new york times that he never sp

for mueller explained to the judge today that mueller s team and the d.c. u.s. attorney, they will be jointly trying this case against roger stone. so that was interesting. that was sort of the most interesting thing that happened today in court. on the deference side, roger stone s defense lawyers entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf to the seven felony charges. unless that changes, that will mean that we should expect there will be a criminal trial for roger stone on the seven felony trials seven felony charges. now, we don t know when exactly that would happen if his case does, in fact, proceed to trial. we do know that roger stone will be back in court again on friday of this week for what they call a status hearing. with that sort of proceeded the way it should have today, a fairly formal thing. but here s this great detail about andrew miller, right, this otherwise obscure figure in this little part of the russia investigation who we haven t been paying too much attention
