He had been out of prison for less than a month at the time of the killing. Kendall Demetrius Beasley, 28, of Dayton, was arrested Thursday morning by the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team and Dayton police without incident, according to Dayton police, which also thanked the community for their assistance. Police responded to Bogan’s Uhrig Avenue apartment last Friday after a relative found her unresponsive.

Beasley A man is charged with murder in the death last week of a Dayton woman whose two children were home when she was killed. Kendall D. Beasley, 28, of Dayton, is charged with murder and felonious assault in the death of 31-year-old Shanika D. Bogan, according to Dayton police and Dayton Municipal Court records. “This woman had been intentionally killed,” Hall said. Bogan was killed sometime between 9 p.m. April 29 and 5:30 am. April 30 in her apartment in the 800 block of Uhrig Avenue, according to court documents.
