It is an issue that also came up last september in the gao report that said some of the federal subsidies under the health law were being used to cover some abortion services. Guest i think most of us think of that typical family or household. When we talk about Median Income or median wealth, that is what we mean. What is that right there in the middle. Host does that change based on where you live . Guest it does but when you think about it nationally ok, the Median Income is a little over 50,000 a year. And that is about what it was in 1989. When theyre thinking about the middleclass nationally, we think of a it really has not gotten better in terms of income in a quartercentury. A freezer. The blast of arctic air is locking on to the midwest before heading east. In chicago, the high will be only 15 degrees. Nbcs Kevin Tibbles reports. Reporter winter has swept in packing biting arctic windchills temperatures 25 degrees below normal in places. You dont get used to it. Reporter treacherous driving conditions and bone chilling commutes. There is icicles frozen off their faces and stuff. It is brutally cold out here. Reporter so cold construction stopped on the new Viking Stadium in minneapolis. The lowest of the low in the lower 48 the tiny grand marnier, minnesota, airport. Chicago firefighters forced to call in steamers to thaw out frozen hydrants. Near aspen, a group of elk had to be rescued after falling through the ice. Just 60 miles separates scottsbluff, nebraska from guernsey wyoming, but guernsey was a whopping 40 degrees warmer. On the west coast, heavy rains and mudslides in washington leaving some 200 people stranded and forcing some schools to close.
