REGINA The COVID-19 pandemic has left more people looking for help with emergency food and shelter, so a resource has been taken over by the City of Regina to help those who don’t know where to turn. Every day, hundreds of people rely on Regina soup kitchens, the Regina Food Bank and social agencies to help them with essential needs, so the Regina Survival Guide is now readily available on the City of Regina’s website. “The City of Regina has taken it on to ensure that it has a permanent home and is able to be updated regularly,” said Kelly Husack, policy analyst with the City.

The rally was organized by the queer community after the church posted a sermon on Facebook titled Raising Godly Children.

It’s intended to engage and empower residents who help improve the community in some way. “The point of the grant is to come up with a project that creates community, gets us closer in the neighbourhood, gets people in the neighbourhood,” said King.

However, Saskatchewan’s yellow rock rolled out to give up a steal of one.

Juno Awards cancellation still felt in Saskatoon one year later

SASKATOON Saskatoon was supposed to come alive with all the festivities the Juno Awards bring one year ago this week and the impact of the cancellation is still being felt in the city. “We had a Juno showcase with a couple other bands and obviously any time there’s a Junos event, a lot of industry folk and a lot of bands are playing in the city,” said W3apons band member Tallus Scott. Scott’s band did go through with their showcase performance, but it ended up being their last live event since the beginning of the pandemic.
