we re awaiting a statement from house speaker john boehner any moment now. and here he comes. here he is. a pleasant conversation. although i have to say, i was disappointed that the president refuses to negotiate. when it comes to the issue of funding our government, the house has passed four bills. four bills to fund our government and provide fairness to the american people under obama care. each of those four bills was rejected by the united states senate. under the constitution, and our system of government, we asked that they sit down and have a conversation with us about funding the government, keeping it open and providing fairness to the american people under obama care. they refused to do it. now, over the last 30 years, dozens of times, there have been negotiations over funding our government.

which basically looks at our credit, downgraded the u.s. credit rating for the first time ever. the dow had a 635-point plunge. now, it did come back. and the bulls have been roaring ever since. so it really depends on how long lasting this is, and if we actually default. we have never defaulted as a country before. so lawmakers really do have to come to some agreement on the borrowing cap. and that is what wall street is worried about. it s not worried about a two to three day shutdown. sit tight, close our eyes, let go like we re on a roller coaster, and then open them up. that s right. thanks so much. well, you want to kick it up a notch? maybe eating right can make you smarter? there s a new study questioning the value of foods that are widely considered to be brain boosters. we re going to talk about it in sunday house call. that s next.

people around the country will have a hard time decidphering. under the gop house rules, they said that any bill would have to be posted on the internet for 72 hours. that s part of their pledge to america. in order for that to happen a new compromise bill for the rest year 2011 would have to be for the public consumption tomorrow evening in order to be voted on friday night. it s a big question mark whether or not they could meet that tuesday night evening deadline. not impossible but certainly quite difficult. over the weekend the budget chairman on the house side for the democrats, chris van hollen told the washington post the odds are 50-50. could have a two day shutdown over the weekend. can they get this up tuesday
