#Chesco Commissioners issued a proclamation this morning recognizing June as LGBTQ Pride Month. Pride flags will fly at the Justice Center and the Government Services Center throughout the month of June.

For those seeking an apprenticeship, finding the right one can be a challenge and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development has hired five apprenticeship navigators to help. Apprenticeship is for everyone, said Joshua Johnson, director of the Wisconsin Apprenticeship System. It s all about finding the right fit for each individual. Navigators will set individuals up for success by providing them accurate tools and resources.
Four of the five navigators are assigned to a different region of the state to assist job seekers with pre-apprenticeship, youth apprenticeship or registered apprenticeships. After working in the private sector doing human resources for 30 years, I always felt that registered apprenticeship was the best kept secret to employment, said Dawn Pratt, a navigator for southeast Wisconsin.
