In May 2017, Richard Collins III had just been commissioned into the U.S. Army when he was stabbed to death at a university bus stop. His killer had links to a white supremacist group and was sentenced to life in prison. For years, Rick and Dawn Collins have been pushing to bury their son with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery. Geoff Bennett spoke with them about it.
Beloved husband, son, brother, and friend to many, Doug Collins, of Loveland, CO, passed on May 01, 2022 in his 48th year. The way Doug passed is just like he loved to live: riding his mountain bike on a beautiful spring day on one of his favorite Loveland trails, the Devil’s Backbone. Doug will forever be missed by his best friend and college sweetheart, his wife Leslie Collins, and their adored cat, Carlos.
