But the wind threat is still very much alive. We know five people have died as a result of this storm so far. And there is torrential rain from the storm that is causing some widespread flooding now. We know also that the third wave so to speak of this storm is yet to come. And on top of that, the violent winds which are still blowing tore down several hundred power lines. More than 1 Million People are without power and that is extending from virginia to new england. Massachusetts seeing the worst of it with hornmore than 400,00 without electricity. Hey, fred, yes, this all unfolded about an hour ago. The man walked up to the gate of the north lawn of the white house just across from lafayette park, a very secured Police Presence there, and apparently took a gun to himself and shot himself outside of the white house. The response from the secret service and from d. C. Police was, as you might imagine, immediate. There were a parentally no shots fired by the secret service.
