BOULDER–After tearing his ACL last season, former Colorado Buffaloes offensive lineman David Bakhtiari has been constantly rehabbing to try and make it back on the field for the Green Bay Packers. Bakhtiari's hard work paid off on Sunday. In his return he appeared in 40% of offensive snaps against the Detroit Lions. Week 18 served as a tune-up for the playoffs, as he looks to be an integral part of a Packers Super Bowl run.
BOULDER- Sunday showcased the high level of talent produced from the Colorado Football team at the cornerback position. Three former Buffs, all members of AFC North Division teams, stood out with their play-making abilities.
Chidobe Awuzie's standout play came on an interception where he showcased his phenomenal ball-skills and athletic ability with a 34-yard return. He added three tackles and two passes defended before leaving the game with a foot injury in the second quarter as the Cincinnati Bengals fell to the Los Angeles Chargers.
BOULDER- Thanksgiving weekend saw another big performance from Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby as he made three field goals and three PATs to aid the Green Packers scoring in their 36-28 win over the Los Angeles Rams.
Week 12 also saw running back Phillip Lindsay join the Miami Dolphins after being cut by the Houston Texans and put up his best performance of the year with his new team. He carried the ball 12 times for 42 yards in the Dolphins commanding 33-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.
