Unfortunately, not a single finalist is from the Texarkana area. Two years ago Cattlman s won the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame and Hope Watermelon Festival won Food-Themed Event last year. On the bright side, there are some great finalists in Hot Springs and Little Rock to check out!

Jo Ann (Agee) Kappel, 61, passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at her home in Nevada, Mo., following months of treatment for Cancer. Jo Ann was born Aug. 27, 1959, in Nevada, Mo., the daughter of Stafford and Judith Agee. She married Randall Kappel of Joplin, Mo., on Sept. 24, 1994, in Joplin. She grew up in Nevada and Kansas City, Mo., attending Brian and Nevada Jr./Sr. High before moving to Kansas City graduating in 1977, from Hickman Mills High School.
In addition to her husband Randall of the home, survivors include her father, Stafford Agee, of Nevada; daughter, Amy Marie Agee and husband, Shrivasta Shevada of Webb City, Mo., Allison and husband, David Ware; and three grandchildren, Keerstin, Alivia, and Aiden Ware, all of Granby, Mo.; brother, James M. Agee and wife, Shannon, of Leavenworth, Kan. In addition, aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to mention spread all over the U.S. including Alaska and also India.
Man Accused Of Shooting, Killing Tulsa Police Officer To Appear In Court Monday
The two men involved in the shooting of two Tulsa Police officers last summer are set to appear in court Monday.
Both David Ware and Matthew Hall will be in court at 9:30 a.m. for an evidentiary hearing. They had similar hearings last month but their attorneys, as well as prosecutors in their cases, asked for more time.
David Ware is charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of Tulsa Police Sgt. Craig Johnson during a traffic stop last June. He is also charged with shooting with intent to kill for Officer Auresh Zarkeshan. He survived the shooting but spent months recovering at an out-of-state rehabilitation facility.
