One of the big questions in the Roanoke and New River valleys is whether Democrats can win in two newly drawn districts — one in the House and one in Senate.
Six of the seven candidates running for seats on the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors answered questions Thursday night on subjects ranging from local taxes and affordable housing to whether they agree with using public funds to pay for private school or homeschool vouchers.
The elected bodies that could see some shakeups this year are the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors and School Board and Christiansburg Town Council.
