GREENFIELD Three Vermont men were arrested for possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and trafficking in cocaine after a traffic stop in Greenfield.
Police say the men were carrying about 22 grams of cocaine and 70 wax bags of fentanyl, the synthetic version of heroin that can be up to 100 times more potent, and five 12-gauge shot shells.
State police first found the Vermont men as they were driving northbound on Interstate 91 with an unreadable license plate. The Subaru Impreza then exited to Greenfield, where the trooper would eventually catch up to the car.
