There’s hope for normality after all.

SIR – I am currently in Miami with my American wife. We are both double-vaccinated – my wife in the United States and me in Britain.
When we fly back together on July 19, we will face the absurd scenario whereby I will be free to eat out, go to shops and mingle with others, while my wife must home quarantine for 10 days and pay for an expensive series of Covid tests.
All this is because we were vaccinated in different countries. The Government needs to sort this out.

SIR – From July 19, I hope to see an end to masks, plastic screens and one-way systems, as well as all the signs littering floors and pavements. And, of course, I’d like to see the end of those three depressing words “Due to Covid”.

SIR – Your columnist Sherelle Jacobs is right. The scientists involved in the management of Covid have become intoxicated with their own sense of power. It is time for them to be put back in their box.
