Beaverton schools needed bilingual tech support A Spanish-speaking bus driver stepped up

Beaverton schools needed bilingual tech support. A Spanish-speaking bus driver stepped up OregonLive.com 1 hr ago April Rubin, oregonlive.com © Dave Killen/The Oregonian Fabian Gomez loves being able to work in the tech field while helping others, due to his combination of Spanish language and engineering skills. He and his wife chose to enroll their daughters in a dual language school so that they, too, will have the advantage of being bilingual. When Fabian Gomez moved from Argentina to Oregon with nearly three years of college education in engineering, language barriers prevented him from landing a high-tech job. Instead, as happens to many immigrants who traverse language and cultural gulfs, he needed to accept a lower-paying job outside his field, in his case as a school bus driver.
