Man claims he was fired without investigation into harassment allegations, sues JVIC

Michael Roberson filed a complaint March 3 in Harris County District Court against JVIC alleging age discrimination.  Roberson was employed as a foreman at JVIC s Pasadena location for seven to eight years, according to his complaint. He claims that on Jan. 29, 2019, while working with a young, female employee on a project at Exxon Mobil on Jan. 29, 2019, she claimed she was not feeling well and that he arranged to have her picked up and taken to the clinic at Exxon.  Roberson further claims that once at the clinic, the female employee reported that he was either harassing her or her cousin and that he was kept in the office and then sent home without being provided any details of the allegations against him. Roberson also claims the accusers were given the opportunity to meet with the human resources manager and that he was not given any opportunity to respond or provide a statement regarding the allegations against him.
