The shipment arrived just days after the vaccine received emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration. The Moderna vaccine is the second COVID-19 vaccine to arrive at UC Davis Health. Last week, as part of a nationwide rollout of the country’s first FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccine, the medical center received 4,875 doses of a vaccine made by Pfizer and BioNTech.
