Police capture Beaver County Jail escapee
HOPEWELL TWP. An inmate who escaped from the Beaver County Jail on Thursday has been caught and is back in custody.
John Broman, 41, escaped from the jail late Thursday morning and was seen on foot heading south from the jail complex, said Hopewell Township Police Chief Brian Uhrmacher. He described Broman as 5 10 , 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, tattoos and a beard.
Authorities located Broman at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Hopewell, according to Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier.
Broman resisted arrest, Lozier said, and was being taken to the medical center for evaluation before being taken to the jail for booking and arraignment on the original and new charges.
