Montgomery County police have charged a man with robbing a mail carrier in Aspen Hill this year.
David Louis Walton, 31, went up to a mail carrier around 10:50 a.m. on Feb. 2 in the area of Elm Tree Lane and Elm Tree Court and threatened him with a handgun, police said in a press release on Friday.
Walton demanded “United States Postal Service property,” and the carrier gave it to him, police said.
Montgomery County detectives and U.S. Postal Service inspectors investigated. A county officer determined Walton was the robber through fingerprints recovered from the scene, police said.
